Nicholas joined National Counseling Group, Inc. in 2006 as a Home Based Counselor and has since become the Director of the Roanoke site. Nicholas has demonstrated advanced leadership and clinical skills during his time at NCG, and has raised the profile and stature of the Roanoke Office.
Nicholas came to NCG with more than eight years of clinical experience treating clients with diagnosed mental illness. Nicholas earned a strong reputation as a clinician working in maximum security state correctional institutions teaching alternatives to violence workshops (AVP) at Graterford SCI and Huntingdon SCI. He then worked in Colorado counseling youth in various detention centers across the state.
Originally from Alaska, Nicholas moved to Virginia and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Eastern Mennonite University in 2000. He specializes in alternatives to violence interventions and conflict resolution. He is currently pursuing an MBA with a concentration in health care administration.
